Sam Heredia and Sarah Torres have over 12 years building McAllen String Academy and the Increscendo Orchestra, training 500+ students. Sam trained at Harvard University and Sarah holds a Master's in Violin Performance from UTRGV and is Montessori-trained.

Every child deserves a real orchestra experience.

Together they spent 7 years teaching at Covenant Christian Academy, bringing professional string education to homeschool and private school communities across the Rio Grande Valley.

Sprouts

Young Elementary · Up to 1 year of experience. Perfect for first-time string players discovering music for the first time.

Bloom

Late Elementary / Early Middle School · Up to 1 year of experience. Building foundational technique and ensemble skills.

Flourish

Late Elementary · More than 1 year of experience. Developing advanced bow technique and expanding repertoire.

Forte

Middle School & High School · More than 1 year of experience. Performance-level ensemble training with challenging repertoire.

Common Questions

WHAT INSTRUMENTS DO YOU TEACH?

We offer instruction in violin, viola, cello, and double bass — all the instruments of a string orchestra.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

$100/month per student · $80/month second sibling. Full season paid upfront: $360/student (save $40). Private lessons available as an optional add-on at $35 (30 min) or $45 (45 min).

WHEN ARE REHEARSALS?

Orchestra rehearsals are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Private lessons are available on Wednesdays.
